Filip Hrgovic Chops Corbin Down w/ Right For First Round Stoppage at the MGM National Harbor!|#86Boxing

In the co-featured bout for the #HaneyMoran card at the MGM National Harbor had a short conclusion. 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist, Filip Hrgovic, 8-0 (6 KOs), did his damage early and quick in taking out Gregory Corbin, 15-2 (9 KOs). Hrgovic was poised from the jump as he set the tone with hard, snapping shots. Nearly a minute in, Hrgovic caught Corbin with a chopping overhand right on the ear as Corbin ducked, sending him to the canvas.

From there, referee Brent Bovell administered the count as the wobbly Corbin claimed to have taken a shot to the back of the head. Corbin was unable to establish his senses and Bovell rightfully stopped the fight handing Hrgovic quick win.

Hrgovic has looked good thus far in his career as he on track to quickly move into contender status at heavyweight. There is certainly ore in store and we’ll be keeping a close eye on his career as he continues to progress.
